Beach avenue 4 - Carnival on the sea 
"After the starry sky is the greatest and most beautiful thing God created, the sea." This statement by Adalbert Stifter occurred to me today when I went to the beach. Finally today the sun came out after it was here, more gray-white and cold in recent days. That feels good, clear air, the blue sky and warm sun rays, which bring the ice to melt.
The cove is like a paradise to me - shines in bright shades of turquoise sea, there where the ice had been broken. The water birds swimming around happy and glad because of the winter now so slow adopted. With the ice melts and all severity, which has accumulated in me so. The sunlit sea can relax the mind and soul and recover.
On Friday a week ago I was after the purchase of fish in the harbor on the beach avenue down to South Beach to turn up in our little beach house heating. Because we were planning to spend there, our "Holiday Carnival". Just as before, when the dark January was over with all sorts of unpleasant work, I had brought the documents to the accountant, and if the winter blues we caught. Then we always said "Will not we go to Fehmarn" The View, relax for a few days to enjoy the sun on the day and in the evening the carnival to watch TV shows that made us more courage to endure the rest of the winter.
But now we are already on Fehmarn, because we live here now. All work was done, I completed a book manuscript, a new book designed a book of poetry published for a STler, some other projects prepared the documents for the Accountants to be related - this time without any winter blues. Carnival was approaching and with it the prospect of holidays by the sea, even if it is still quite cold on our sunny island.
Well, last Friday I went full of anticipation on the beach and almost avenue would be the next avenue beach story appeared - But it was different. My husband went bad after an unexpected panic attack, on Friday evening the doctor. After the injection he slept three days through, as before, when he was sick again. It is disturbing when something occurs out of the blue, the middle of a relatively large harmony. We have tried to fathom the cause, but we do not know. Probably there were many little things that came together in those days.
We have it good in our house in Neujellingsdorf, and so I was patient. By the carnival were still a few days. Let I waited until my husband came. Then on Wednesday suddenly everything went very easily - in no time we were here. I must Do not pack so much and can go in between the house if we need anything. And if we want, we can always go back into the house. Travelling to South Beach was a new experience - 15 minutes after departure, we were already arrived and made ourselves comfortable.
Now look here, the carnival shows on TV and make our otherwise quiet days. Carnival is confined to the island on Saturday, is where celebrated in the tent on the market. There are some tourists there, but not too many. I hope the rest here in the small apartment does have effect, as before, ever. The view of the vastness of the sea and the colors of the sky that has always impressed us, which we had always come to rest.
Like every Friday, I was yesterday in the port and I have bought fish. It was so cold and uncomfortable that I had little desire to take pictures. As well, it was nice and warm in our apartment. In the evening at "Mainz as it sings and laughs," I was - as used to be - some time to sleep and time for the final chorus woke up: "So one day, so beautiful as now," I sang along with the Mainz court singer and cheerful minded people in the hall .
Today I slept late, but had many weird dreams. It was late morning, I woke up and asked myself, I would like to spend this holiday. Outside, then the beautiful sunshine, the air has been really warm and thaw the ice in the marina. The "spirits" will return and begin the recovery. I look forward to the walk on the beach in the afternoon. Even Hans Christian has slept long and quiet, but today is not in a bad mood because he is tormented by his right eye with conjunctivitis. Eye drops? No thanks - one suffers but you. And so he spends the afternoon relaxing on the sofa while I walk to the beach.
Oh how wonderful it is, once again to feel the warm sun rays! The sky is deep blue, not a cloud can be seen only from time to time a white gull. I walk through the soft sand to the water, breathe deeply, I will run things simple, just as they arrive. I enjoy the time, trying to slowly become inwardly calm.
At the small bay sparkle I am intoxicated by the bright colors, beach and water white to turquoise. Only on my camera as a flashing red light: Another shot, another, again and again the red light flashes. Until the final words: please change battery. Now I understand it, the battery is empty, and I missed all the warning signs, just made more. Now I have time to think, but first: One more photo! For I have but my iPhone here, but that goes too. Fast times checked to see if someone has emailed.
Oh no, that can not be true! Finally I understand: If my own battery is empty, I can not replace him so easily. I must watch, then, as he charges again, so I can recuperate from the stress of recent weeks. Now I walk along the water, sometimes stand still and look forward to the flocks of waterfowl. Ten minutes later I turn around, because my husband is waiting for me. Now I go against the low sun, breathe deeply again. Then it goes along the entrance to the harbor, the distant lights Fehmarnsundbrücke. No photo this time, but the more intense moments! A flock of birds flying over me, to the north - soon it will be spring.
At home, everything is happy in order, Hans Christian that I'm back and sleeping. I watch from the balcony towards the Fehmarn bridge and experience a beautiful sunset. Tonight, then "Typical Kölsch" - and this is balm for the soul. Just be happy, sing and celebrate. I am particularly looking forward to the Bläck Föös with her new song "Mer han e för Kölle Hätz" - our hearts are definitely for the "awl city on Rhing" beat - Hans Christian's heart because he was born there , and mine, although I'm not born there - but it dat Janit slam "it says in the song.
Carnival on the sea, which I have previously dreamed of being. Get away from the daily grind, just take a deep breath and be merry. Now we can realize this easily, without long journey in winter road conditions.
Is not that a reason to be happy?
